Make Time for a Brain Break!

What’s a Brain Break? It’s a short break from whatever work you’re doing to give your mind a chance to stretch and refocus. Just a few minutes away from a task can help reduce frustration, especially when faced with a challenging assignment. Being able to return to a problem and solve it also helps learners of every age build confidence and stay engaged.

The Improv Project offers 15-minute brain breaks for youth in Grades 1-8 during the school year. Join our teaching artists for improv games that get everyone moving and connecting with their peers in a fun, creative way. Classroom sessions are available for students learning remotely. Email us at info@detroitcreativityproject.org to schedule a session.

Looking for a self-guided Brain Break you can do today? The lesson pages offer video examples and written instructions for games to play.
