WHY I TEACH IMPROV: “The Improv Project brings joy and self expression to youth and adults, and I’m thankful every day to witness that. I am thrilled to be a part of such an important program that teaches the art of Improvisation, and creative and social skills to youth, our future leaders.”

EXPERIENCE: Kelly is program director for The Improv Project. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University in Theatre, with a concentration in Acting. She has been Executive Director of BoxFest Detroit, an annual theatre festival that showcases and supports local female-identifying directors since 2005. Kelly is an active actor, playwright, and volunteer in metro Detroit’s theatre community, and she appeared in “Call Me Cass” at The Berman Theatre in 2018. Kelly is committed to training educators, youth, and adults in the power of improvisation.
